Embrace Peace, Adewole Marketers Told

Date: 2012-10-15

The Kwara State Government has called on the market operators in the Ultra Modern Market in Adewole to embrace peace while carrying out their daily activities in the market.

The state Commissioner for Commerce and Cooperatives, Alhaji Raji Mohammed made the call when he paid an unscheduled visit to the market.

Alhaji Raji, who urged the market operators to shun divisive tendencies in the market, advised them to see themselves as members of the same family.

While charging the marketers to maintain peace and orderliness in the market, the commissioner appealed to them to report their differences to appropriate authorities for necessary action, adding that the state government would continue to ensure the smooth running of the market, which he said, has come to stay.

Responding, the traders commended the state government for its support to the market and pledged their support to government at all times.
