Date: 2018-11-16

A group, Baruten Local Government Non-Indigenes Liberation Forum on Thursday declared its support for Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the state in the 2019 elections.

The group made the declaration in a congratulatory letter signed by its Secretary, Lukman Ayodabo and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kosubosu in Kwara.

Ayodabo said that the support became necessary in championing the course to liberate the state and take it to the promised land.

According to him, Abdulrasaq's emergence as the APC candidate at a time the party was seeking unity and cohesion for proper positioning ahead of the 2019 poll is a welcome development and a divine intervention.

Let us assure you that the Baruten Local Government Non-Indigenes Liberation Forum will continue to work hard to enlighten and mobilise the electorate for the purpose of liberating the people of Kwara State from the hand of tyrants.

"We have no doubt that your track record in the private sector with a passion you have for the liberation of the people of Kwara and upliftment of the masses will lead you to victory come 2019," Ayodabo said.

NAN reports that Baruten is a local government council sharing a long border with the Republic of Benin with the headquarters in the town of Kosubosu.
