The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the names of winners of the local government congresses across the 16 local government areas of Kwara state.

The local government congresses were on Saturday conducted in a peaceful atmosphere.

APC stakeholders in most local government areas in the state had picked their executives through a consensus arrangement.

As at the time of this report the exercise was concluded in most of the local governments, especially Ilorin West,Ilorin East, Ilorin South, ASA, Moro and Irepodun local government areas.

Most of the party executives in these councils were returned unopposed, thus, the holding of the congresses was a mere formality.

Commenting on the exercise,the Chairman Congress Committee for Kwara state, Senator Mohammed Ohiare, expressed satisfaction over the peaceful conduct of APC members who participated in the exercise.

While monitoring the Ilorin West local government congress at Agbo- Oba, Ilorin , Senator Ohiare noted that reports reaching him from the remaining 15 local councils indicates that everything went on smoothly.

He commended party members for their orderly and peaceful conduct. He noted that whoever emerges will surely be true representatives of the people, adding that the complaints of some aggrieved members had been taking care of
