Nigerian leaders need political will to solve security challenges

The Chairman , LADORB Peace Initiative, Alhaji Umar Balogun says Nigeria needs the political will on the part of the leadership to solve the security challenges confronting the nation and other African countries.

Alhaji Balogun stated this in Ilorin , the KWARA state capital while answering questions on a Radio Kwara personality interview programme "Playing Host". According to him , solving security challenges go beyond acquiring bullets and guns , arms and ammunitions or recruitment of security personnel but rather the patriotism to collectively address the menace.

He called on Africans particularly Nigerians to preach and embrace peace at all times and shun anything that can disrupt the relative peace in the continent adding that government alone can not handle the security challenges facing any community but rather through collective efforts and patriotism .

Alhaji Balogun who is the Chief Executive Officer of LADORB Technology Services emphasized the need for patriotism on the part of everybody to combat crimes and all other forms of terrorism warning that even handlers of security technology device can be compromised hence the need for peaceful coexistence , loyalty to the constituted authorities and patriotism .

The quest who is a Technology provider , lamented that one other problem confronting Nigeria as a nation in this twentieth century is energy (electricity) and enjoined Nigerians to diversify into the use of solar to power all their technological , industrial , office and home requirements stressing that solar is relatively cheaper and reliable.

Alhaji Balogun who was the convener of the peace meeting that recently took place in Ilorin between Offa and ErinIle communities commended the state government for providing an enabling environment to resolve the age long crisis between the two communities and as well praised the Olofa ,the Elerin , spiritual leaders and the youths for allowing final resolution to the disputes in the two ancient towns .

He reemphasized that KWARA state since time immemorial had been known as a state of peace and harmony and warned against any action that would threaten the peace and announced that he had concluded arrangement to organize football competitions which is a unifying factor to further cement the relationship among the various communities in the state .

According to him , the people of Share and Tsaragi are now living in peace after a peaceful dialogue as they even interchange visits and relate together and therefore implored other communities with one challenge or the other to emulate dialogue stressing that it's only under a peaceful environment that development can happen.

Alhaji Balogun appealed to Nigerian youths to shun all acts of thuggery and idleness but rather key into the modern technology experts have invented to further develop themselves and be self employed rather than relying solely on government white collar jobs .
