Emir of Ilorin sympathizes with victims of rainstorm disaster

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Council, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has commiserated with victims rain storm which wrecked havoc in some parts of Ilorin on Tuesday.

The monarch expressed the concern in a statement issued on Wednesday by the National Secretary of Shehu Alimi Foundation for Peace and Development, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, in Ilorin the State capital .

He also stressed the need for residents of Ilorin emirate and Kwara State at large to be vigilant and conscious of the fact that the rainy season has just began adding that more attention should be geared towards adequate protection of lives and property in the neighbourhood.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari also warned members of the public to desist from dumping refuse and other irrelevant items that can hinder easy passage of erosion inside drainages.

The Emir however appealed to relevant government agencies to swing into action towards finding palliative measures to affected victims .
