The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, will this Thursday, 29th August declare open a two-day investment workshop for civil servants and political office holders. The workshop is tagged Steps to Attaining Financial Freedom. This, according to the State government, is part of efforts to inculcate the investment habit in government workers.

The workshop which is organised by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant on Investment, Policy and Strategy in conjunction with GTB Asset Management, is designed to expose participants to the rudiments of personal financial planning towards creating a secure financial future for public servants.

Topics to be discussed include the classes of Financial planning and Life Stage Analysis, types of Investments and Asset classes, importance of planning ahead for major expenditure like obligatory/desirable religious trips, children education, property acquisition, Income Generating Strategies, Asset Allocation Strategies and Current opportunities in the Nigerian Investment environment.
