NASFAT boss storm Kwara for inauguration, seeks N'Pilot partnership

Date: 2017-11-28

Leading Islamic organisation, Nasrul-Lahi-Fathi Society of Nigeria (NASFAT) has opened up a new branch in Kwara State while also swearing in its executives in the state.

The Worldwide President of NASFAT, Engr. Kamil Yomi Bolarinwa who led other members of the executives on a courtesy call to National Pilot on Thursday said the inauguration became necessary in order to continue the propagation of Islam.

Bolarinwa however appreciated National Pilot for its huge role in the promotion of Islam even as he requested for a column for NASFAT, to discuss sacred issues regularly.

He premised reason for his request on the fact that the paper is widely read in the state.

"We appreciate the management of National Pilot for staying back to honour us today despite your tight schedule. "As a well circulated newspaper in the state, we intend to partner with you, hence we are seeking for an avenue where we can make contribution to the progress of Islam by reaching out to the society," he stated.

In his response, the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief, Alhaji Billy Adedamola granted the request even as he noted that there is an existing page dedicated to religion in the publication.

"The request will be granted, all we require from you is making your materials available to us regularly. People buy our paper because they want to be informed and they know well that they won't be disappointed with our editorial content.

"We serve the interest of the masses regardless of political affiliations, that is why today, we are the most sought after. We will continue to partner with whoever extends his hands of friendship," he submitted.

In his remarks, the Vice President of NASFAT, Alhaji Suleiman Fagbemi described Adedamola as a founding member of the group, adding that he should not renege in taking part in activities of the organisation.
