Gov. Ahmed Okays Kwara TV, The Hub Complex Construction Work

Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing renovation and repositioning of Kwara State Television (KWTV).

The Governor, who inspected the media house on Friday, commended the State Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Mahmud Ajeigbe, Sole Administrator, Dr Muyideen Akorede and the management of the media house for the quality of work done.

While taking the Governor round the station, the Sole Administrator noted that the repositioning is being carried out in consonance with current realities and industry trends, thereby positioning Kwara TV as a pride among its peers in the industry.

Also speaking, Alhaji Ajeigbe foreign exchange difficulty and delayed customs clearing have been a major challenges to the delivery of the new, state of the art equipment.

Alhaji Ahmed, while addressing pressmen after the inspection expressed his satisfaction with the level of work done at the media house.

He said the government’s decision to reposition the state media houses is in his bid to improve efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery, stressing that the station will be ready in time for Digital Switch Over(DSO).

Also, Governor Ahmed expressed satisfaction with the level of work done at the ongoing construction of The Hub, an ultra-modern shopping and office complex located along Fate Road, Ilorin.

The Group Managing Director, Harmony Holdings Limited, Mr Tope Daramola, who received the Governor on site, disclosed that the company had acquired a nearby land for the phase two of the project once the ongoing one is completed.

He also disclosed that all the office spaces and stalls have been acquired by individuals and corporate entities even before completion.

As a result, Governor Ahmed commended the Management and Board of Harmony Holdings for driving the company towards profitability and delivering economic benefits to the State, through private sector-styled management and strategic re-engineering.
