Kwara Assembly Leader Hon. Oyeleke bags Icon of Hope Award

The Kwara State House of Assembly has restated its commitment towards enacting laws and policies that would make Youth realise their potentials in the State.
The Speaker, Dr Ali Ahmad gave the assurance in Ilorin, shortly after the House Leader, Hon Hassan Oyeleke received an " Icon of Hope" award from the National Association of Polytechnic Students in Nigeria.
Dr Ahmad who described youths as the beacon of hope of any country, said the house had remained focused in the performance of its legislative functions and enhanced the wellbeing of Youths, women and children in the state.
He assured that the legislative arm of government in the state under his watch would continue to be responsive and reflect the yearnings and aspirations of the majority of the people in its legislative functions.
The Speaker praised the Association for recognising the modest achievements of his House leader and assured that the house would continue to make youth, women and the down troddens the centre piece of its legislative activities.
Also speaking, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Legislative Matters, Hon Kayode Omotoshe who attested to the good leadership quality of Hon Oyeleke said he is an activist, politician and legislator per excellence,which according to him, should be emulated by all and sundry to further enhance the wellbeing of the society.
Earlier, in their remarks the Leader of the Delegation, Comrade Taiwo Bamigbade and the Senate President of the National Association of the Nigerian Students Comrade Adedeji Olusegun said his track record of achievements right from his days as student, Councillor, council chairman made him to be eminently qualify for the " icon of hope" award of the Association.
They noted with delight that the legislator had offered scholarship to more than 200 indigent students and enjoined him to sustain his service to humanity to further enhance the wellbeing of the Nigerian society.
Responding, the House Leader Hon Hassan Oyeleke who was visibly elated, said he was humbled with the recognition, adding that this would inspire him to rededicating himself towards serving humanity.
Hon Oyeleke who dedicated the award to the Speaker, members of the house, the people of Essa/Shawo/ Igboidun constituency, Offa Local Government and the entire people of the state, promised to continue to ensure quality representation, in the task of making democracy more meaningful to the people of the State.
