Artisans commend Kwara police, pledge cooperation
Panel Beaters, Sprayers and Sign writers Union (PBSSU), in Kwara State, has pledged to cooperate with the State Police Command on matters relating to security implications of their profession.
The union also commended the Police command, especially the Commissioner of Police, for the various security initiatives being taken in the state to combat crimes.
Speaking with journalists in Ilorin, the Chairman of the association, Mr Johnson Kola Bakare, said that the Police gave them good guidelines for carrying out their operations, which he said, had made their job easier than expected.
Bakare also promised the cooperation of his members to always complete specified job order, approved by the police before embarking on any job on vehicles.
The chairman said this will in a long way save them from embarrassment from unscrupulous men in uniforms that hitherto took advantage of them.
Bakare also said that the new development would largely assist the public to prevent car theft and other crimes in the society, just as he described the steps taken by the police as steps taken in in the right direction.
He, therefore, called on all members of the union to adhere strictly to the new guidelines as given by the police, pledging the cooperation of his association with the police.
He also called on members of the public to take note of the new development and cooperate with the law enforcement agents whenever they ask for police job order before doing their jobs.
Bakare also wished the commissioner of police a good tenure in Kwara State.
