The Saraki political dynasty grows more bigger in Kwara as members of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State keep decamping to Kwara APC.
It was a thunderous occasion in Ilemona on 17th October, 2016 as the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Muideen Alalade joined the Oyun Kwara APC Chairman Alhaji Tijani Olaegbe to welcome the new APC members to the Saraki political family in Kwara.
Speaking at the occasion, Hon. Muideen Alalade, the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, welcomed the decampees and appreciated their boldness to ditch their sinking political party to the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC).
Hon. Alalade assured the new members of fair play and equal opportunity among all party members and urged them to give in their commitment, loyalty and full participation in party programmes.
In his messages, Hon. Alalade reassured the people of Oyun LG that the Governor Ahmed administration will stop at nothing to bring more developments to Kwara with the newly launched IFK as the going infrastructures shall be completed and new ones shall spring up.
He appreciated Governor Ahmed for the successful completion of the Erinle/Ilemona road, and assured the people that the Offa/Ira/Ilemona, Offa/Ipe and Ilemona township roads which are under construction will soon be completed.
Among the roads penciled down for construction by this administration is the Offa/Ikotun road which is aimed at boosting the economy activities of the people of that axis.
Hon. Alalade while commending the party supporters for their steadfastness appreciated the Kwara South Senator, Dr Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim for his steering performances at the Red Chamber and among his constituents as the convincing reasons for winning new members to the APC family in Kwara South.
The leader of the decampees, Engr Ibrahim Mokanjuola while speaking on behalf of the other group members, lauded the leadership of the APC in Kwara under the Distinguished Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki for operating an inclusive system that breeds love, peace and unity among party members.
Engr. Ibrahim Makanjuola equally praised the Kwara South Senator, Dr. Rafiu Ibrahim and referred to him as the best representation Kwara South has ever had as a Senator.
Present at the event are Senator Bisi Oyewo, Hon Kamal Fagbemi, representing Okegun constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly.
Former Oyun LG Chairman, Ibrahim Omoniyi, Former SA on Christian Religion, Rev. Adeshina, Prince Toyeshe Omokanye and Hon. Joshua Omokanye Jalala were also in attendance.
The peak of the event was the presentation of APC party flag to the leaders and representatives of the new APC members.
