Unilorin to inaugurate 15 projects during convocation

No fewer than 15 newly completed projects are to be inaugurated at the University of Ilorin as part of activities marking the institution’s 32nd Convocation Ceremonies.

The University of Ilorin Bulletin issued on Monday in Ilorin stated that the projects would be inaugurated on October 22.

It said the projects would include the 6.5km Main Campus-College of Health Sciences link road, the new Senate Chamber, the new Office Block for Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the new Block of Laboratories for Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Others include the Veterinary Teaching Hospital Complex, Sabo Oke, 500-Capacity Lecture Theatre for Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences and the 500-Capacity Lecture Theatre for Faculty of Science, among others.

The publication said that highlight of the ceremony would include the visit of Prof. John Wood, the Secretary General of Association of Commonwealth Universities. It said that Wood would deliver this year's Convocation Lecture on "The Future of Universities".
