The Egyptian Gov­ernment has donat­ed publications pro­duced by the authority of Al-Azhar University, Cairo to Arabic schools across Kwara State. The AUTHORITY re­ports that no fewer than 55 Al-Azhar magazines issued by Al-Azhar institu­tion of Egypt and 100 Af­rican Perspectives'books were part of the donations.

The Head of Press and Information department in the Embassy of Egypt, Ahmed Maher Akl, made the donation when the Chairman of the Kwara State Arabic Education, Dr AbdulKadir Salman, paid a courtesy visit to the Em­bassy in Abuja on Wednes­day. Akl noted that the ges­ture was part of the Egyp­tian government's contri­butions to the growth and development of education among youths across Nige­ria even as he reassured of the continued efforts of Al-Azhar University towards updating global research.

In his remarks, the Dr AbdulKadir Salman who is also the Proprietor of Da­rul Kitab Wasunnah Col­lege of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Ilorin commended the Egyptian government's commitments in uplifting the standard of education among Nigerians.

While appreciating the gesture, Dr AbdulKadir assured the Egyptian Em­bassy's Spokesperson that the books will be distributed among scholars, schools as well as students of the uni­versities across the state.
