Show your love for Shao, Ohoro charges indigenes
The paramount ruler and Ohoro of Shao, Oba (Dr.) Bamidele Alabi Adegbite, has charged indigenes of the community to be good ambassadors and reflect the proud heritage of the people. Oba Adegbite who was speaking during the inauguration of new officers of the ancient community urged members of the newly constituted body to see their positions as means of showing their true love for Shao community by working diligently and tirelessly towards achieving speedy progress for the community.
In his handing over speech, the former President of the Association who doubles as the Asiwaju of Shao, Chief Joe Oyeniyi Olarogun, urged the new officers to accept their new responsibility as a clarion call and sacrifice to serve the community. He advised them to be transparent, committed and loyal to the pursuit of the true agenda of Shao community.
Responding, the new President, Architect Ayo Bello, who heartily accepted the duty, pledged his allegiance to the association and assured the entire people of the community of his unalloyed commitment to the ambitions, aspirations and development of the community under any circumstance. He solicited the cooperation of all the new officers in discharging the duties which the association would entrust to them from time to time. He also called on all the indigenes of Shao, home and abroad to support the new exco by cultivating the habit of developing the community.
Other officers inaugurated on the occasion include Elder E. Adebara (Vice-President 1), Alh. Adetumbi Adeniran(Vice-President 2), Mr. Felix Afolabi (Vice-President 3), Elder Sunday Ajao (General Secretary), Mallam Suleiman Afolabi (Assistant General Secretary), Alh. Oladimeji Z. Ahmed (Financial Secretary), Elder David Adebiyi (Treasurer), Dr. Kehinde Akano (P.R.O. 1), Chief Sangodare Ayinla (P.R.O. 2), Mr. Adebara Adekunle (Social Welfare), Mr. Lanre Oladunni (Auditor), Lawyer Adam T. Jamiu (Legal Adviser), Alhaja Yewande Adeniran (Women Leader) and Mrs. Sera Oladunni (Assistant Women Leader)
