The Management of National League side Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club of Ilorin have announced January 15, 2016, as the club's resumption date for preparation ahead of the new NNL season.
This is coming after a marathon meeting of the Club held in Lagos on Tuesday, the club boss Mr Seni Saraki approved the retention of 20 players from the old team while 10 new quality players would be injected to fortify the team.
The Management also directed all the retained players and team officials to report same day at the club secretariat inside the Kwara stadium complex Ilorin for a brief meeting with both the players, officials and the Management.
The statement further said that an invitational screening would be conducted to fill in the vacant 10 players needed to complete the 30-man list for the season.
Meanwhile the Saraki Club is set to re-activate the existing kit deal with local Manufacturers Owu sportswears LTD for the new season.
Club General Manager Alloy Chukwuemeka confirmed the development after the meeting in Lagos which was also attended by Mr Bidemi Bamgboye, a London based marketing consultant as well as Nkechi Obi of Premium Sports and Barr. Tunji Brown of Owu sports Wears Ltd.
It would be recalled that the Chairman of ABS FC Mr Seni Saraki had reiterated his commitment to rebrand and reposition the club to make it more professional in term of play and structural management.
