Date: 2016-01-01

The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kwara State has appreciated the people of the state for fruitful partnership and cooperation in the year 2015 while urging the virtues of tolerance and peaceful co-existence as 2016 unfolds.

In a goodwill message issued by the State Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, the party appealed to Kwarans to offer genuine support to elected and appointed officials of Kwara State Government as 2016 unfolds.

"In a legendary manner, the people of Kwara State stood firm against intimidations during the general elections. They also shown that they could be relied upon at all times to take patriotic decisions on the fate of our Kwara State.

"Quite unfortunate, our party inherited a bad economy that was virtually grounded due to mismanagement and shameless looting of public resources by the previous government.

"However, we appreciate the partnership and cooperation of the people of Kwara State at those defining times and assure the people of better times as the government is taking necessary steps to fix the economy of our dear country.

The party urged Kwarans to pray for God's guidance for Senate President Bukola Saraki, Governor AbdulFatah Ahmed, Speaker Ali Ahmad in their concerted efforts to deliver and fulfil their electoral promises and wished the people of Kwara State a prosperous year 2016.
