Kwara pilgrims get N6.3m refund

The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare board is set to refund over N6m to the 2012 and 2013 hajj pilgrims from the state.

This was disclosed by the Executive Secretary of the board, Hajia Fatima Abolore Jimoh, at a press briefing yesterday. According to her, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) sent in N3.2m to the 2, 483 pilgrims who went to hajj in 2012.

In 2013, 1, 915 pilgrims went to the holy land through the state pilgrims' board and N3.1m is to be shared among them.

She said the 2012 pilgrims would be collecting a refund of N1,200 while the 2013 pilgrims would get N1, 600 refund.

Jimoh advised the concerned pilgrims to come to the board with their e-passports, a photocopy of the data page, the original receipt as well as the photocopy of the receipt.
