No ill feelings after Kwara United axe - Abdulrahman
the ex-coach of the Harmony Warriors has stated that the Kwara State government has only activated the earlier decision of sacking everyone if the team got relegated.
The immediate past head coach of Kwara United Tunde Abdulrahman has told Goal that the state government kept to its promise of relieving everyone in the Harmony Warriors of their duties if the club got relegated.
Under his watch, Kwara United placed 18th on the NPFL log with 42 points from 38 matches barely a season after promotion to the elite division.
While accepting the decision, he was not happy with the team's drop to the lower division but that there were so many factors that made it impossible for the team to beat the drop.
He said he has no doubt in his mind that the Harmony Warriors would bounce back to the top flight again soon.
Abdulrahman however pointed out that it was important that the state government should recruit a management team that will have the love of the club at heart and that it was pivotal that player recruitment should be properly done.
"The government said everyone would be asked to go if we were relegated and it was just right that the word was upheld. I don't have any problem with that," Abdulrahman told Goal.
"I want to counsel that the new management team should be those with the interest of the club at heart and that players' recruitment should be done on merit."
