Kwara NUJ lauds Lai Mohammed's appointment

The members of the Correspondents' Chapel of the Kwara State Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) have congratulated the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, on his appointment.

In a press statement signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the chapel, Comrade Layi Olayiwola and Biola Azeez, respectively, the union said that Alhaji Mohammed had the pedigree and competence to improve understanding, peaceful co-existence and development in the country.

The correspondents also expressed the belief that the emergence of Alhaji Mohammed would further help press freedom and brighten the working environment for journalists.

The union called on Nigerians, particularly, media practitioners and politicians of different leanings, to support the new minister as he set to tackle set goals.

The union also prayed God to give the new minister good health, wisdom and understanding to have a successful tenure.
