Heartland expects a tough game against Kwara United

Date: 2012-06-09

Heartland forward, Jolly Osas has said his side will end their one-week sojourn in llorin with victory against hosts, Kwara United.

The Afonja Warriors return to llorin after a 1-4 loss at domestic champions, Dolphins to face Heartland on Matchday 31 on Sunday at the llorin Township Stadium.

Heartland shared points with Kwara United's city rivals, ABS on Thursday in llorin and had the upper hand when both sides met in the first fixture at Owerri.

Osas told SuperSport.com that their win-less run on the road will end this weekend at Kwara United.

"We're working very hard to come out victorious at Kwara United. We've come close severally to nip outright victory at away but the best has been draws, we're determined to earn three points this time.

"We expect a tough game especially as Kwara United lost massively at Dolphins on Thursday.

"ABS are a stronger side, if we up our form Kwara United will be easy to handle," he said.

The former 3SC goal-poacher has four goals to his credit in all competitions this season and said he is a potential hotshot favourite.

"I've scored four goals, I know I must work harder to even up at the top.

"The highest goal scorer's race is still wide open, it's never over until it's over.

"I'm very much in the race and that is why I'm pushing to score more goals to close the gap.

"I must finish the season as top scorer," said the petite former Zamfara United goal king.
