Buhari's Cabinet: APC Chieftain Hails Lai Mohammed's Nomination
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alh Sulyman Yusuf, has hailed the nomination of Alh Lai Mohammed as minister.
He also praised Senators from Kwara state for supporting the nomination of the APC's national publicity, a development he noted soften the ground for the nominee during his screening at the Senate.
Yusuf in a statement in Ilorin, described the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki's victory at the Elections Petitions Tribunals as victory for the electorate who freely gave him their mandate during the March 28,2015 elections.
He described the trio of Saraki, Mohammed and Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed as "God's mercy" for the people of Kwara state.
Also, a member of the House of Representatives representing Asa/Ilorin West Federal Constituency, Hon. Razak Atunwa hailed the victory of Saraki at the tribunal .
Atunwa described the tribunal's judgment as a further reaffirmation of the people's mandate who came out in their thousands to vote Senator Saraki in the March 28 senatorial elections.
The lawmaker in a statement signed by his special assistant on media, Olawale Rotimi, said the fact that Dr Bukola Saraki recorded majority votes in the March 28 election was not a subject for debate but a conspicuous fact .
"The judgment passed by the tribunal held in Ilorin which emphatically upheld the victory of Senator Bukola Saraki against PDP's Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq signifies a reinforced determination and commitment to achieve a truly democratic Nigeria devoid of electoral pilfering and sludge in all echelon," he said.
"Elections are not won by propaganda or baseless petitions or sentiments, they are won by serious commitment to the development of the people.
"Senator Saraki has continually gained the confidence of the masses which is solely connected to his masses oriented leadership style since the commencement of his service as a public servant," he added.
