UNILORIN Students urged not to violate exam rules
As the University of Ilorin prepares for the Rain Semester examinations students have been advised to make sure they are careful and not go into the examination halls with any unapproved material.
The Director of academic planning, Professor Musbau Akanji stated this in his office while answering questions from our staff reporter. He said the students should make sure they go into the examination hall with their writing materials and course registration form.
He said a situation where by students give excuses in the examination hall of forgetting materials on their body is an offence punishable with explosion. He cautioned the students not to take mobile phones near the examination hall at all as it is totally prohibited at the premises of the examination.
He debunked the rumor that the examination has been postponed stating that it is true that the post UTME will also start from the eleventh to sixteenth but it will not clash.
He stated that the University understands that there will be influx of people during the period of the post UTME assuring that the University has put in place appropriate security measures.
He urged the candidates to make sure they come early enough so as to ensure they don't get delayed or encounter challenges at the check point.
He said this year, the federal ministry of education in conjunction with JAMB and NUC has fixed the first round of the National admission meeting for twenty-sixth of June which means all Universities must have completed their post UTME before the scheduled date.
