Nigerian police confirm release of abducted Italian
The Italian, Digi Modesto, working with Borini Prono Construction Company was kidnapped on May 30, by unknown gunmen.
State police spokesperson confirmed the release to reporters, saying the expatriate was released on Saturday by his captors.
He said investigation was ongoing in the incident, adding that security agents in the state were determined to ensure security of lives and property.
Another top police source who declined recognition refused to confirm the amount paid before the release of the expatriate.
He told a Xinhua reporter in the state that the Italian was immediately taken away from Ilorin by the construction company
