Kwara United to feature 3 new players in Sunday's league tie with Wikki

Date: 2015-08-15

Chief Coach of Kwara United FC of Ilorin, Tunde Sanni, said his team would feature their three newly engaged players against visiting Wikki Tourists of Bauchi.

The players are Ossy Eugene from Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC, (ABSFC), Ahmed Muhammad from Gateway and Ismailia Jimoh from FC Taraba.

Sanni told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that It was imperative that they play in the match because they had been identified as reinforcements to plug the weak areas I observed during the first stanza of the league.

"They are coming in to compliment the good hands that we have in the team. They have been training with us since the start of the week and so we hope they can settle in quickly.

"Although we featured Muhammed in Katsina against El-Kanemi Warriors and noticed that he still needs sometime to settle down".

The Kwara United gaffer solicited the support of the team's fans for Sunday's encounter, saying the game would be important to the team.

"Every game is important, even though, this is much more crucial, since it is home game. We have dropped too many points at home this season and so, we don't want to drop more," the coach said.

The Ilorin-based team lost their match day 22, 2-0 away to El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri at the Karkanda Stadium, Katsina on Aug. 9, but drew 1-1 in the reverse leg of the match day 23 fixture in Bauchi on March 22. (NAN)
