Kwara Govt. Set to Unveil New Logo

The Kwara state government says it is set to unveil its new logo which is to give the people a greater sense of identity and pride.

This was stated by the Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor Dr. Muyideen Akorede while participating on a special Democracy Day programme on UNILORIN FM

Akorede said the new Logo combines the history, sense of pride and potentials in agriculture of Kwara State. He said Government's business is to woo investors to the state and create an enabling environment.

Akorede said as part of events for the one year in office of the present administration the governor will flag off the first flight training of the aviation college which is the second training school in Nigeria

He said the government is introducing new measures of transportation where Kwarans can sit back and call cabs to transport them to their various destinations through phone calls.

Akorede said one thousand youths will get permanent employment letters as part of the state governments drive to get its youths gainfully employed He said he believes Kwarans are enjoying the dividends as government is trying to curb rural urban migration by providing all the necessary facilities for them stressing further that free education, quality health care and a host of others are also parts of the dividends of democracy.

He said though the country is not where it is supposed to be but believes that gradually things will get better.

The SSA said development projects are not the real dividends of democracy but representative government stating that Nigerians should imbibe the culture of asking questions from their representatives.

He further called on the people of Kwara state to support the present administration to reap the true dividends of democracy.
