Glo League: Warri Wolves Hold Kwara Utd in Ilorin

Date: 2015-07-30

Warri Wolves secured a vital point off hosts Kwara United yesterday after they played a 1-1 draw in a rescheduled Week Nine Glo Premier League game.

Warri Wolves now moved to third spot on the league table with 33 points from 19 games. Skipper Dare Ojo broke the deadlock in the ninth minute to give Kwara United an early lead.

However, former ABS midfielder, Ichull Lordson, equalised for Warri Wolves in the 59th minute.

The Warri club has now gone unbeaten in six games. In the fifth minute, Onyekachi Okafor came close to score for the visiting Warri Wolves only to lose possession.

Kwara United goalkeeper Kazeem Yekeen was then forced to make a save off a long-range shot to deny Wolves a goal in the 18th minute.

Six minutes later, Yekeen was again called to duty by Abu Azeez.

Wolves continued to threaten as five minutes to the end of the first half, Stanley Dimgba's effort came off the post and Sikiru Adewale Alimi also saw his close-range effort for the Warri team come off the goal post in the 61st minutes.
