Why We Expel Bad Students - Unilorin VC
Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali, said yesterday that expelling students for cultism and other social vices is painful, but a necessary action taken to protect the lives and well-being of other students.
He said as a citadel of learning and character-moulding, the university could not afford to produce bad citizens for the society. He spoke while receiving the new Director of Kwara State Command of the Department of State Services (DSS).
The Vice-Chancellor expressed satisfaction with the service the DSS has been rendering to the university, and commended the new DSS Director in the state for his professionalism and clear understanding of the community.
