Central defender Moronfade Christian Adebayo is delighted to have made his Kwara United debut in the match-day 11 of the Nigeria Professional Football League on Sunday.

The former ABS centre-back, who was out of the game for almost two years due to a career threatening injury was a second half substitute as the Harmony Warriors romped to a 3-1 win against Enugu Rangers at the Kwara State Stadium.

"This is nice, very nice. I am very humbled by this and trust me it will also push me to do more so I get more time," the defender told News24 shortly after the match.

"I know it has been some time I have been out of the game, but patience is good because it makes you appreciate what it means to play football when you finally get the opportunity," Fade was quoted by News24.

"As a player you cannot always make it into the team when you want. You just have to work harder all the time," he continued.

Fade, who recently joined Kwara United as a free agent expressed his appreciation to the entire Harmony Family and those who stood by him during his trying times.

"l wanted to repay the faith coach Tunde Abdulrahman has in me. I'm very grateful to him, the management, the entire technical staffs, the fans and those that stood by me when I was on the side-line," he added.
