Kwara United Crowned Kwara FA Cup Champions

Kwara United have been crowned as the 2015 Kwara State FA Cup champions.

The Nigeria Professional Football League side defeated Kwara Football Academy 4-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw during regulation time.

Ugbo Emma had opened the scoring for the Mutiu Adepoju tutored side in the 18th minute after the youthful lads dribbled through the defence line of the Harmony Boys.

Saka Habeeb levelled the score for Kwara United before half time.

Seriki Jelili put Kwara United ahead in the 67th minute following up a Segun Alebiosu shot.

The KFA young lads despite being one goal behind were still playing with their full confidence and were rewarded for their hard fighting spirit three minutes to the end of the game.

Ahmed Ibrahim headed home the equaliser to force the tie to penalty shootouts.

In the dreaded shootouts, Kwara United prevailed over KFA with a 4-3 victory.
