Presidential poll: Kwara Rep lauds exercise

Date: 2015-03-31

Rep Ali Ahmad, representing Ilorin South Federal Constituency, has lauded the conduct of the presidential and National Assembly elections.

Ahmad commended the large turn out of voters, saying that the people lived up to their civic duty.

He said that the APC was sure of victory, judging from several opinion polls conducted by both local and foreign observers favouring the party, adding that the party would be victorious in the elections.

"I don't see the strength of the opposition, we just need to campaign for the sake of it, and the fact that it is compulsory," he said.

Ahmad said that contrary to the opinion expressed by some that the people of kwara were tired of the Saraki's hegemony, the result of the elections would show that the people were still with Bukola Saraki.
