Man, 28, Held Over Homicide
A 28-year- old bricklayer, Abubakar Umar, suspected to be a cultist was yesterday remanded in prison by a Magistrate's Court in Ilorin, Kwara State, for allegedly killing one Sikiru Isyaku.
A complaint letter signed by the Assistance Chief State Counsel, M.A. Akande, stated that on February 15, one Sikiru Isyaku, suspected to be member of the Eiye confraternity, was macheted and killed by members of a rival group, Aiye confraternity, during a clash at Gambari Junction, Sobi road, Ilorin.
It added that the Department of State Service, Kwara State Command, conducted an investigation which led to the suspect's arrest.
