The zonal coordinator disclosed that the association is into partnership with the central Bank of Nigeria, (CBN) in its two hundred and twenty billion naira Micro Medium and Small Scale Development Fund which is a seven year programme.
According to her, “the CBN recently released the sum of three hundred and ninety-eight million Naira loan for some cooperative groups in the state which is being repaid by the beneficiaries”.
She also said that another fund is being expected from the apex bank soon.
Hajia Zubair also added that “the association would go into massive production of farm produce like rice, cassava, yam, honey, groundnut shea-butter, poultry, fishery and Jatropha as a means of diversifying from oil to agriculture”.
The North Central coordinator of the association used the opportunity to appeal to the Federal Government and security operatives to find a lasting solution to the issue of terrorism and the negative use of the youths.
