Kwara LP adopts JAM co-ordinator as gov candidate.
The North Central coordinator of Jonathan Actualisation Movement (JAM), Dr Mike Omotosho, has defected to Labour Party (LP) in Kwara State.
Omotosho, who was an House of Representatives aspirant for Irepodun/Ekiti/Oke-Ero/Isin federal constituency under Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, lost the primary election citing injustice.
Speaking on his latest political move in Ilorin at the weekend, Dr Omotosho said he was determined to contribute to the genuine development of the state through his political contribution.
Dr Omotosho, a progressive consultant with broad-based experience in the healthcare sector, said he had consistently extended his gesture to people of Kwara State in his empowerment programmes.
The health expert said he had organised a one-week medical mission for more than 5,000 people in 12 communities in four local government areas of the state in August 2014.
“The medical mission covered basic health solutions to improve the quality of lives of the people in the rural areas with free diagnostics, expert advice and provisions of free drugs including wheelchairs to all and sundry.
The founder of Mike Omotosho Foundation, said he had empowered women with N10 million micro credit loan scheme late last year, adding that the foundation also trained a total of 300 youths in computer skills in Kwara South Senatorial district in October 2014.
