Kwara 2015 Appropriation Bill scales through 2nd reading
The lawmakers praised the larger percentage appropriated for education and general public services.
Others described the bill as budget of hope which seeks to alleviate people's suffering, create more jobs for the youth and provide infrastructural facilities for the people.
They equally expressed satisfaction on appropriation for roads construction and rehabilitation of rural roads, energy, women development and rehabilitation of technical schools.
The lawmakers called for accelerated passage of the bill to ensure its quick implementation.
The Speaker, Barrister Rasak Atunwa directed the Clerk of the House, Mr Oyetunde Oyeniyi to read the bill for second time and committed it to House Committee on Finance and Appropriation to work with other sub-committees for further legislative actions. Meanwhile the House has adjourned sitting till March 4, 2015.
