OPINION: Kwara PDP Guber Primaries; The Consequence of Doing Otherwise. By Mumeen Yusuf Abioye
Its imperative for people at the main helm to listen to the voice of the younger generation, the generation that has being at the receiving end of the political slavery and malhandling of the state's resources which is the bane of the current impoverishment of the good people of Kwara state.
This same generation shall suffer more for another 3 decades or more if our gladiators, freedom stakeholders and party sponsors do not toll the lane of reasonining.
In as much as I have personally seen this struggle beyond the love or closeness to any aspirant, my candid opinion however is that every guber aspirant should be allowed to test his/her popularity at the primaries. I am sure if the process is truelly democratic enough to represent our grudge with the other side, no aspirant will have the moral right to do nothing else than work towards the realization of the dreams which some of us have ignited and laboured for for the past 2 years.
We should equally remember that the consequence of doing otherwise is not only grave but dehumanising, agonising and frustrating. Please let us consider how they will feel in the other camp or perhabs how we shall be treated in the future if this struggle fails, God forbid.
