Maja is alive, stable, close aides dismiss death rumour

Date: 2014-10-20

Contrary to wicked rumour peddling around, Chairman, Kwara State Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Kayode Sulyman Yusuf (Maja), is not dead, his close aides have disclosed.

Rumour of Maja’s death went viral on the social media and around political circle in Ilorin yesterday with some internet users mourning his purported demise.

Though, the former Special Adviser on Political Matters to former Governor Bukola Saraki, was said to have been down with stress-related illness, findings by National Pilot on Sunday, revealed that contrary to the death rumour, he was recuperating at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital.
To this end, this medium gathered that the Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, reportedly visited him yesterday at the hospital, where he met him in a stable condition.

Reacting to Maja’s death rumour, one of his aides dispelled it, saying that he was in a stable condition and in high spirit.

The aide described the rumour as wicked and imagination of his political enemies, adding that it is a sin to wish a fellow human being dead.

Also speaking, another aide, who described him as a finest politician and staunch follower of Saraki’s political dynasty, wished him a speedy recovery.

Maja is a very popular and well-loved politician, who is known as one of the staunch followers of Senator Bukola Saraki.

He had served in various political positions and was known to have performed credibly well in all places he held sway.
