Olofa Council Denies Scolding Kwara Govt

Date: 2014-10-09

The Olofa in Council in Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State has denied criticising the state government and successive administrations in the state.

The denial followed media reports, where the Olofa in Council was quoted as criticising the state government when the Minister of National Planning and Deputy Chairman, National Planning Commission, Dr. Abubakar Sulaiman, visited the area.

A statement by the Principal Private Secretary to the Olofa in Council, Tajudeen Oloyede, maintained that there was no time the council scolded the government.

"While it is a fact that the Olofa in Council received the Minister of National Planning, Dr. Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman, who paid a courtesy call on October 6, 2014, we would like to state for the record that there was no time we criticised the government," the said said.
