Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for vacant position in Center for Innovation in Teaching and Research, University Health Services and University Library; E-Library Division of the University, Kwara State University, Malete.

CENTRE FOR INNOVATION IN TEACHING AND RESEARCH (CITR).

A. Vacant Position: Director, CITR

Candidates must possess the following:

  • Minimum of Master’s Degree in Computer Science,Engineering, Information Technology or Physics.
  • Broad knowledge of computer –based curriculum content.
  • Possession of a Doctorate Degree will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience utilizing classroom support software and system.
  • Substantial scholarly publications in reputable Journal are required.

B. RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

i. Ability to work effectivelywith students and faculty.

ii. Leadership ability to articulate a vision for effective technology – assisted Learning.

iii. Organizational skills to plan and implement teaching and learning support system.

C. Preference will be given to candidate who wishes to take up an academic position in an academic department; but this is not a requirement.

D. REMUNERATION

The successful candidate will be entitled to the salary and other conditions of service as are applicable to other Federal Universities in Nigeria.

E. UNIVERSITY HEALTH SERVICES

Vacant Position:Senior Pharmacist

Candidates must possess the following:

  • SSCE/GCE (O/LEVEL) with five least (5) credits in the relevant sciences subjects including English Language.
  • A good University Degree in Pharmacy,
  • Registration with the Pharmacist Council of Nigerian.
  • Minimum of five (5) years post qualification experience.
  • Previous workingexperience in an academic institution will be an added advantage.

F. RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Procurement, Storage and Dispensing of drugs and Dressing.

ii. Counseling of Patients on Drug use.

iii. Deliver promptly good quality, accessible and affordable drugs to patients at the point of care.

iv. Provision of first –rate education, information and assistance on drug –related matters to patients, pharmacists, students, researchers and other health care providers.

H. UNIVERSITY LIBRARY; e-LIBRARY DIVISION

Vacant Position (1):SeniorSystems Analyst

Candidates must possess the following:

  • SSCE/GCE (O/LEVEL) with five (5)credits including Mathematics and English Language
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science,Engineering, Information Technology or Physics with at least Second Class Honours Lower Division.
  • Master Degree will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience, preferably in a University e-Library environment.
  • Good communication and troubleshooting skills experience with Linux Administrative and Window Servers as well as in setting up and managing software applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Manage and monitor dedicated e- Library Internet bandwidth according to policies established by the University Librarian and the Head of the e-Library;

ii. Configure and manage the e-Library LAN servers;

iii. Supervise and Train the e- Library System Analyst and other staff in bandwidth management and Linux Administration;

iv. Provide the Head of the e-Library with technical and Strategic guidance for the operations in the e-Library LAN and its Internet connection with best practices and the latest technology.

v. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of e-Library or University Librarian.

  1. I. REMUNERATION

The successful candidate will be entitled to the salary and other conditions of service as are applicable to other Federal Universities in Nigeria.
