Kwara Govt inaugurates committee on projects monitoring
In a bid to ensure value for money in Kwara State, the state government has inaugurated a fifteen-man committee to monitor and inspect projects to be executed across the sixteen local government areas of the state.
The projects are to be executed under the N1.6 loan secured by the state government.
Inaugurating the committee in llorin, the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Isiaka Gold, said the loan was secured for the local government councils to execute capital projects.
The SSG, who directed the committee to provide appropriate monthly progress reports, advised them to work collectively at ensuring success of the assignment given to them.
Gold, however, warned members of the committee not to hesitate in sanctioning any contractor who failed to carry out high quality job that could last longer.
Responding on behalf of the committee, the Chairman and Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Mr Taiye Afolabi, commended the state governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, for the opportunity given to them.
