Facts have emerged over how men of the Kwara State police command uncovered a suspected killers’ hideout where human parts were being sold to alleged ritualists in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

The den located in an uncompleted building along Airport/ Eyenkorin road, a suburb of the capital city was said to have become a permanent base for the human parts marketers, who after snatching their victims lured them, using different gimmicks.

This medium had reported few weeks ago about the lifeless body of a middle-aged woman that was dumped by the roadside not far from the uncompleted building by suspected ritualists, though police claimed the victim was crushed by hit and run car.

Some body parts of the victim was observed to be missing.

However, it was gathered that police had mounted security surveillance on the building following a tip-off by people in the area and some members of the public that the abandoned building used to be beehive of activities in the night unlike the usual lull during the day time.

A top security source who confided in our reporter because he was not authorized to speak, said police operatives swiftly acted on the informations received on the suspicion that ritual killers were using the property, which is a few metres away from the main road, to perpetrate atrocities.

The abandoned structure was said to belong to an eighty five year old woman who is currently being interrogated.

During our correspondent’s visit to the criminal dungeon on Monday, the place was still littered with at least three decomposed headless human bodies, human feet,  National Youth Service Corps( NYSC)  caps, women under wears and shoes, snail shells and clothes suspected to be used in strangulating ritual victims.

“The owner of the building has been known, she is an 85 year old woman. We are interrogating her, may be as investigation progresses, we are going to make some arrests”, the police boss said.

In another development, the police also paraded one robbery suspect, Ganiyu Lawal with a Toyota Camry with registration number Lagos App 645 AN.

Aisabor said investigation showed that the vehicle was stolen from where it was packed in Lagos while other members of the robbery syndicate took to their heels.

The suspects who are students of the state college of education ,Ilorin were arrested after attacking one Musa Azeez and robbed him of his belongings within the school campus.
