This was made known by the State's Commissioner for Works and Transport, Dr Abubakar Amuda Kannike, during inspection of  on-going road projects within the Ilorin metropolis.

Dr. Kannike said the assurance became expidient in order to allay fears of owners of demolished property and solicit for their support for government's efforts at making life meaningful for residents and users of roads across the State.

According to the Commissioner, infrastructural development forms part of the cardinal objectives of the Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed-led administration with a view to achieving even development in the State.

"Road construction anywhere in the world, is supposed to bring development in terms of value added on land. The government is, therefore, determined to open up more communities through construction of roads", Dr. Kannike said. 

Reiterating government’s commitment to speedy completion of all on-going road projects within and outside the state capital without compromising standard, Dr. Kannike assured the people that the present administration will deliver on all its electioneering promises.

Some of the road projects inspected included the recently awarded Sango-Oyun bridge road extension where work had commenced in earnest, Sango-Akerebiata road,Amilegbe-Mubo-GSS bye-pass road, Dangote-Offa Garage road, Lubcon-Wara road and Pakata-Sohoto road, all in Ilorin, the State capital.

Dr. Kannike expressed satisfaction with the quality of project execution and urged the various contractors to expedite work with a strong warning that government would not accept any shoddy job.
