New Year Message
Ahmed has urged Nigerians to intensify their prayers and cultivate attitudinal change in order to return the country back to its glorious era.
The Governor also enjoined them to keep faith in God and remain resolute to those virtues that bind the country together despite its diverse cultural, ethnic, religious and political background.
Alhaji Ahmed in his goodwill message to the people of the State to usher in the New Year, expressed hope for a better tomorrow if everybody does his/her own part conscientiously.
Nigeria, he said, will get out of the present challenges if we all allow the current government reforms to sail through and believe in the ability of our political leaders to drive the nation’s economy.
He asked the people of the State to display love towards one another and the country and see themselves as one another’s keepers, pointing out that such was the basis of a unified and prosperous nation.
The State government, the governor disclosed, would continue to break new grounds in the New Year especially in the pursuance of its youth empowerment scheme with a view to eliminating poverty and creating more opportunities for all and sundry.
Ahmed, who congratulated the entire people of the State for sailing through the out-going year, advised them to use the festive period for spiritual rejuvenation so that we can continue to live in peace and harmony with each other.
