FG declares May 1 public holiday

THE Federal Government has declared tomorrow, May 1, 2014 as public holiday to commemorate the 2014 workers’ day celebration.

The Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro, made this declaration on behalf of the Federal Government.

A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Fatima Bamidele and made available to newsmen in Abuja, on Tuesday, also said Moro, congratulated Nigerian workers for their resilience and commitment in the face of obvious challenges of daily living.

He enjoined the workers to support the present government in its efforts to improve the work environment and living conditions of Nigerian workers, while urging them to support President Goodluck Jonathan in his desire to transform the country.
