The Kwara State government has advised professionals in the state to use quality materials for housing construction to avert collapsed

The Special Adviser on Emergency and Relief Services to the governor, Alhaji Musa Abdullahi, gave the advice yesterday while on an inspection visit to places affected by rainstorm in Ilorin West and East Local Governments of the State.

Alhaji Abdullahi also called on the people to make use of professionals in construction and urged Town Planning Development Agency and Private Developers to see to the proper construction of buildings in order to avoid re-occurrence of the disaster.

The governor''s aide sympathised with the victims and assured them of government assistance toward alleviating their problems.

Places visited include Mandate housing estate, Adewole, Stadium road, Olorunsogo, Alfa yahya, Oke-agodi, Olorunsogo, Ileowa, and Royal valley estate Akerebiata all in Ilorin.
