LAST BATCH OF KWARA PILGRIMS RETURN
The last batch of 315 pilgrims from Kwara on Tuesday arrived the IIorin International Airport from Saudi Arabia.
The Kabo Airline plane conveying the pilgrims arrived the airport at about 12. p.m.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the last batch included retired Justice Mustapha Akanbi who was the state's Amirul Hajj.
The former Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission arrived in company with officials of the state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
Akanbi told NAN on arrival that all the 1,915 pilgrims, who performed the 2013 Hajj from the state, returned safely.
He attributed the success of the exercise to the grace of God and commended the board's officials for proper coordination. (NAN)
