Nigeria may witness partial solar eclipse on Sunday - NSRDA

Date: 2013-10-30

Nigeria may likely witness partial solar eclipse on Sunday, the National Space Research and Development Agency, NSRDA, has said.

The Director General of the Agency, Dr. Seidu Mohammed who made this known in a statement urged the public not to panic over the course of the eclipse.

He assured that it will not affect signal from the stationary satellites which means that mobile communication will continue to work.

Mohammed said the eclipse will be seen in most parts of the country and in some West African countries.

He added that Nigerians should continue with their normal businesses, but said people should use their sun glasses because of partial rays.
