Chairmanship candidate praises poll
Owolewa, who voted at his Ihahe Ward 2, Omu-Aran polling booth, commended KWASIEC for being alive to its responsibility.
“For now, I want to say I am impressed with the large turnout and peaceful manner the election is being conducted,” he said.
Hajia Folake Yusuf, another PDP candidate for Oke-Ero chairmanship position, expressed confidence in the ability of KWASIEC to ensure a credible poll.
The Elegosi of Egosi land and Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Daniel Dada and Oba Oladele Ibitoye respectively, in separate remarks after casting their votes, urged residents to be law abiding.
The Divisional Police Officer for Omu-Aran, Mr Adamu Zawwah, expressed satisfaction with the level of security put in place.
He pledged that the command would not relent in maintaining law and order, saying, “as you can see, there is no report of any breach of peace as far as this election is concerned.
“We hope to continue in the same spirit to keep the peace,” Zawwah said.
