2015: Jonathan posters flood Kwara, say he is the best

Date: 2013-10-16

Few months after controversies trailed the display of President Goodluck Jonathan 2015 campaign posters in some parts of the country, especially on the streets of Abuja, a group, “Foundation for Empowerment and Uniting Nigerian Youth” has flooded the streets of Ilorin, Kwara State capital with the President’s campaign posters, canvassing for his 2015 presidential election.

It was observed that the campaign posters were spotted at strategic locations in Ilorin Central Muslim Praying Ground and some other locations in the state capital.

Some of the posters were pasted on walls along the New Yidi Road and some other places in the metropolis.

The posters bear the picture of Jonathan, the map of Nigeria and a young man.

Inscriptions on the poster read, “Let the good work continue”; “In culture in architecture and for the future, you are the best;” “Support Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for continuity;” and “He has done it. He is doing it. He has also promised to do more despite challenges.”

However, the president is yet to make a comment on the development. DailyPost has however learnt from an insider that the campaign was sponsored by some of his followers in the state.

It would be recalled that President Goodluck Jonathan disassociated himself from the first set of posters which flooded the streets of Abuja recently, saying that those behind it were only doing so on their own and not as his political agents.
