Kwara Sets Up Special Task Force on Fuel Supply
The Kwara State government has set up a Special Task Force on Fuel Supply to ascertain the causes and identify solutions to the lingering fuel scarcity in the state. Inaugurating the Special Task Force in Ilorin today, Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Isiaka Gold, charged the committee to confirm the current situation of fuel supply in the state, identify the factors responsible for the scarcity and proffer solutions to the problem.
Alhaji Gold expressed the state government's concern over the prolonged scarcity of fuel, especially in Ilorin, in view of its negative impact on the people's well-being. He said the outcome of the Special Task Force's investigations will form the basis of the measures to be taken by government to remedy the situation.
The six-member Special Task Force is headed by Alhaji Bawa Adamu Issa, The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs. Other members are Alhaji Usman Bibire Ajape, Special Adviser(Utility and Transport), Alhaji Yekini Ilobu, Special Adviser (Political) Alhaji Yahaya Aro, (Special Assistant-Intergovernmental, Local) and Mr. A.M. Odetokun of Governor's Office, as Secretary.
