Date: 2022-01-08

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq today paid a condolence visit to the Christian Association of Nigerian over the death of its state chairman, Most Rev Paul Olawoore.

Delivering the condolence message on behalf of Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, at the CAN secretariat Ganmo, the Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi prayed that God will console the immediate family, Christian body and the state at large.

AbdulRahman noted that this time calls for sober reflection as everyone will finish his or her assignment on earth at God's appointed time. He said Most Rev Olawoore has finished his own part and has gone to his rest and reward.

Governor AbdulRazaq said that the Late Bishop Olawoore will be missed for his gentleness, wise counsel to the government and his active role in maintaining a peaceful Kwara.

He urged the immediate family and CAN to take solace in the fact that the late Bishop lived a life dedicated to the service of God and humanity.

Earlier, the vice-chairman CAN, Bishop Adewole thanked the Kwara state government for identifying with the Christian body at this trying time.

He assured that the Christian body in Kwara state will continue to support the government and pray for the success of this administration.
